Jaime Garcia

Hi, I’m Jaime Garcia, a game researcher at the University of Technology Sydney. I’m interested in creating games that do more than entertain — exploring how serious games and gamification can support learning, wellbeing, and engagement. 

Before working in academia, I helped build video games and apps aimed at preventing falls and improving balance for older adults.

 I use itch.io to host game jams with my students, giving them a space to experiment, collaborate, and share their work.
